Chapter 47: The Three Towers

With its destruction, the very foundation of this place seemed to crumble along with it. The imposing wall that had blocked his path upon entry came crashing down, but it was not the only wall to fall.

On the exact opposite side, another wall crumbled, revealing a previously inaccessible path.

It appeared as if this second path was meant to open only after the player passed a trial. But now that everything here was destroyed, the wall came crashing down as well.

Raven stood at a crossroads, presented with two options. He could either retreat along the path he had come from or venture forward into the unknown, taking the new path that might lead to the exit.

Eventually, he came to a decision. He drank a healing potion, and even gave a little to Elia, who was hurt in the battle with him as well.

Ensuring he was in optimal condition, Raven made his decision and entered the new passage before him, leaving the ruins of the garden behind.

Minutes passed since his departure when movement stirred within the ashes of the fallen tree. Something emerged, struggling to free itself from the remnants.

It revealed itself to be a small worm-like creature, which had made its home inside the ancient tree.

The voice that had posed a question to Raven belonged to this tiny insect. The worm gazed at the desolated garden, its home destroyed.

It then glanced at the passage Raven had chosen, only to ultimately opt for the opposite direction, retreating back into the labyrinthine maze.

Raven traversed the new path, maintaining a vigilant stance. Surprisingly, he encountered no traps along the way and was engulfed by a strange sense of safety.

As he delved deeper into the passage, he noticed intricate carvings adorning the walls. These ancient depictions depicted legendary creatures that had once inhabited these corridors. The carvings seemed to come alive, whispering silent tales into Raven\'s ears as he passed by.

After what felt like an eternity, he finally glimpsed the end of the tunnel, where a soft glow beckoned him. The darkness gradually yielded to the increasing brightness as he advanced.

Moments later, he stepped out of the tunnel, greeted by the sight of a beautiful blue sky. The fresh breeze brushed against his skin, offering respite after being confined within the tunnel\'s depths.

As Raven looked back, he realized he could no longer see Novice City. He stood halfway up a mountain, the tunnel stretching behind him.

It was as if he had ventured into an entirely different realm by traversing through this passageway. The surroundings were unfamiliar, shrouded in an air of mystery.

Yet, what captivated him most were the three colossal towers in the distance, their summits vanishing into the clouds.

Each tower stood thousands of miles apart from Raven\'s current position.

The central tower emanated a pristine white hue, exuding a holy aura that adorned it with a bright and beautiful presence.

As he focused on the central tower, a screen materialized before him, displaying a single name:

[Tower of Gods]

On the left of the white tower, there was another Tower, just as tall. Both the towers appeared to be next to each other, yet thousands of miles apart. It was a strange feeling, as if the space itself was split apart between the two towers.

This tower possessed a pitch-black exterior, enveloped in a demonic aura. Dark creatures swirled around the malevolent structure. Another name materialized on the screen as Raven directed his attention to the left tower:

[Tower of Demons]

Mirroring the arrangement, a third tower occupied the rightmost position.

This tower appeared ordinary yet enigmatic, constructed from peculiar blue stones that shimmered like gems. It appeared as if the tower was made purely from gems.

Raven noticed deep sword marks etched into the walls of the tower. The marks were a few inches deep, yet they didn\'t even manage to scratch the surface, which made it evidence that the walls of the Tower were very thick, and almost unbreakable.

Raven didn\'t know how strong the attack was, which managed to leave those marks on the wall. However, he had a feeling that this strength was something that a mortal couldn\'t possess.

It became evident that he himself would be unable to leave even the slightest trace on the impervious walls, no matter how much he tried.

As his gaze fixated on the tower, another name materialized before him, revealing its identity.

[Tower of Heroes]

All three towers towered above Raven to such an extent that their summits remained invisible, even though he stood thousands of miles away.

Other than the three towers, there was no other significant structure in sight.

"Do you know what those towers are?" He asked Elia. However, looking at her confused expressions, he remembered that he couldn\'t understand her in this Avatar.

He returned to his Puppet Master Avatar. His looks changed. The items that he had previously equipped returned to the item storage.

After he finished switching Avatar, he was quite surprised. He felt much stronger than he felt when he last used this Avatar.

In his curiosity, he opened the Stats to see just how far he had grown.

Seeing his stats, he was pleasantly surprised. He had grown by a lot, and it was mostly thanks to Elia, who had fought alongside him, transferring the experience.

He felt somewhat grateful to Elia. Even though she wasn\'t alive, she was the only companion he had. She was the only one he could trust in this world.

"Thank you for everything," his calm voice fell in Elia\'s ears.
